Venues For Our Courses & Sangha Gatherings
Our in person courses and events take place in two venues:
-
For our Meditation Retreat Days, we are in the The Linklater Pavilion
-
For all other events, we are at The Open Door
For a quick picture of how to get to both of these venues, see our map here, or read on for more details.
The Open Door

The Events Room, The Open Door, Church Twitten, Lewes BN7 2LU
The Open Door is on Church Twitten, a pedestrian alleyway between the All Saints Centre (lower end) and the High Street (top end). Access is through the wooden door next to the iron gates. Once inside, follow the path round to your right, past the Open Door Reception, to the next door on your right. The Events Room is upstairs.
From the train station (5 min walk): Turn right out of the main entrance, then first right onto Lansdowne Place. After ~100m, turn left onto Church Twitten just before the All Saints Centre. The Open Door is on your right, just past a bollard in the middle of the Twitten.
By bus: Most buses stop near Waitrose or at the bottom of School Hill near Boots. Walk up School Hill (Boots behind you) and turn left into Church Twitten near the top. The Open Door is about 30 yards along.
The Linklater Pavilion

Linklater Pavilion, Railway Lane, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 2FG
The Linklater Pavilion is nestled in the peaceful surroundings of the Railway Land nature reserve in Lewes. It’s just a few minutes walk from the town centre, see our map for how to get there.
For information about the Linklater Pavilion and the Railway Land, see their website here.
There is disabled access at the Linklater Pavilion.
Parking
Please note: neither the Linklater Pavilion nor the Open Door have onsite parking.
Weekday evening and Sunday parking are generally good in Lewes, with various car parks nearby (do get in touch for specific suggestions, or about long-stay parking outside of weekday evening/Sunday free parking).
Information on nearby car parks can also be found on our venue map here.
Getting to Lewes

Lewes is an historic market town in East Sussex with Anglo‑Saxon and Norman roots, known for its 11th‑century castle, medieval streets, independent shops and annual Bonfire Night celebrations.
The town is highly accessible: a direct 55–70 minute train from London Victoria/Lewes (regular Southern/Southern services), easy A27/A26 road links from Brighton and the M25 for drivers, frequent regional buses connecting nearby towns and the coast, plus convenient cycling and walking routes for short-distance arrivals.
